PLA activities in the waters and airspace around Taiwan

1.Date：
6 to 6 a.m. (UTC+8) Wednesday to Thursday, Jan. 3-4

2.PLA activities：
6 PLA aircraft and 6 PLAN vessels around Taiwan were detected by 6 a.m.(UTC+8) today. 1 of the detected aircraft had entered Taiwan’s southwest ADIZ. R.O.C. Armed Forces have monitored the situation and tasked CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and land-based missile systems to respond these activities. 

3.PLA balloons：
Three PRC’s balloons were detected at 15:07, 16:08 and 17:51 yesterday after crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait at the location 48 nautical miles west of Makung ,45 nautical miles north of Hsinchu and 44 nautical miles west of Makung  respectively. The balloons’ altitude were approximately 36,000, 24,000, and 15,000 feet respectively. The balloons headed northeast and sequentially disappeared at 17:06, 17:40, and 19:16 yesterday.
